“Teaching of English: A plea for practical Attitude”-R.K.SINGH

My views on “Teaching of English:  A plea for practical Attitude”-R.K.SINGH

English in India is a potential national resource.it is important to develop tolerance and positive attitudes towards English.
English has been long adopted and firmly established as a link language by our national leaders during and after the freedom struggle not only for mutual communication and coexistence but also for Saving the republic from small state nationalism.
English is also already functioning as a link language in the present day global village, not necessarily for reasons of quality or superiority but for political and historical reasons.
If teacher accept their aim of teach English well, and if they want to ensure that their pupils should achieve a basic command of the language, than they must..
i.Encourage a teaching programme.
ii.Pursue such teaching activities.
iii.Flexible teaching approach.
These are the three didactic aims of teaching.
He also write about Lerner's responsibility. If teacher teach English as a means of communication, teacher should also understand the essence of communication is meaningful interaction between participants. Teaching is not only teaching but presenting and practicing with such language items, that learners need in real life.
              Thank u…..

Poem: The Mystic Drum by Gabriel Okara

The Mystic Drum:                     The Mystic Drum is Okara’s love lyric. The Mystic Drum evinces a tripartite ritual pattern of imitation from innocence through intimacy to experience. By comparison to the way of zone as manifested in the experience of Zen master, Chin Yuan Wei-Asian this pattern resolves itself into an emotional and epistemic logical journey from conventional knowledge through more intimate knowledge to learn of experience empowers the lover to understand that beneath the surface attractiveness of what we know very well may lie an abyss of the unknown and unknowable belching darkness.                   But experience teaches us at this stage of substantial knowledge not to expose ourselves to the dangers of being beholden to this unknown and unknowable reality by keeping our passions under strict control...
