Here I'm sharing review about  short story “ The story-Teller” by Hector Hugh Munro.

Introduction :
Hector Hugh Munro, who wrote under the pen-name of 'Saki’,was born in Bumra (now Myanmar) in 1870.munro is best known for his short stories which are a blend of fantasy, humour and satire,of sense and nonsense. They are highly individual and full of eccentric wit and unconventional situations.
His stories:
  1). Reginald (1904),
   2). The chronicles of clouds(1911),
    3).  Beasts and superbeasts(1914).

About story:

In this story,Munro shows us how children like Stories which are interesting and unusual. The story-Teller must be clever enough to keep up the listeners' interest and be able to answer any questions they raise during the story-telling session.Otherwise, children get easily bored with conventional stories that are dryly narrated and always have a moral attached to them at the end.
This is brought out in The story-Teller by contrasting the story-telling of an old aunt, who is traveling in a train along with three children.when she starts telling a story, the children are bored.Morever ,she is unable to satisfy their curiosity and answer the questions raised by them.A stranger travelling in the compartment notices this and he starts narrating an unusual story to the children .His style of story-telling engages the attention of children. He is also able to answer the question they raise in a manner that feeds the curiosity and imagination of the children.Even the old aunt is impressed by the story-Teller.

  Thank u..

Poem Telephone Conversation by Wole Soyinka

Telephone Conversation by Wole Soyinka           In the summary of Telephone conversation by Wole Soyinka, the poet talks about two people on the phone and the story goes on to narrate how the African man is looking for a house and the land lady has proposed a considerable price for the same. The poem strikes a positive note as the man gets to know that his privacy won’t be hampered as the landlady doesn’t stay on the premises. The African man is happy to know that and just before he makes up his mind to consider the offer, he drops in to mention that he is black. On the other end of the line, there was nothing but silence which the African man takes it to be an impolite gesture of refusal.               However, the silence is soon broken as the landlady starts to speak again asking him to expla...
