Here i'm sharing review of short-story "The Nightingle and the Rose" by oscar wilde

Introduction:

        Oscar wilde(1854-1900) was born in Dublin on october 16,1854.He was the second son of an eye-and -ear specialist william wilde and his nationalist wife.Oscar wilde started his literary career by writing poems and he wrote his first play,Vera.He continued his literary career  by writing fiction,drama and essays.


His works:
-The happy prince(1888)
-The picture of Dorian Gray(1891)
-Lady Windermer's fan(1892)
-The importance of Being Earnest (1892)

About the story:

              The Nightingle and the rose describes the sacrifice of a small bird for the sake of love.The young student was in love with a beautiful girl.Wilde sharply contrasts the bird's sacrifice with the selfishness of human beings.Whereas the human beings are selfish and self-centred ;also they go about their daily business of life,the bird's sacrifice for the sake of two young lovers is supreme.The little bird pays the pric for uniting the lovers with its life by singing in order to obtain a res rose for the pinning lover.
