A work of literature should be justice as an independent work or everything being equal its effect on reader.Disinterested near on the part of critic implise freedom from all prejudices, personal or historical. Today we have learn different literature and writer's style and other kind of thing.Literature is give the new idea also.

-The idea of 'The touchstone method ' given by Arnold is not suitable in recent times. 
Touchstone method is two primary tools analysis and comparison for judging individual poets.A critic should compare it to passages another works of great master of poetry.Arnold's touchstone method to discover 'tension' or the proper balance between connotation and denotation, in poetry.
